This December, we got snow.
A lot of snow.
And the snow turned to ice. Which is fine unless your son has 2 basketball games in Eagle and they are not back to back. And if your daughters have a birthday party they are invited to right smack in the middle of the 2 basketballs games!
What a busy day!
I got up, hit the gym, came home and got ready, made cookies for the Ward party, got Kermit ready for his games, got the girls ready for their party, and we were off!
I dropped off the girls, and headed out to Eagle. It usually only takes about 20 minutes to get there, but this particular day it was so icy it took me 45-50 minutes, and my muscles were so tight the whole way!
I watched the game, and as soon as it was over, we headed back to Meridian to pick up the girls, and then back to Eagle we went! He had 2 hours in between games and it took me that long to go back and forth.
We finished the second game and then headed over to the ward Christmas party.
Whew! and we didn't die!
This picture cracks me up!
There is a man that works out at our gym who is the RC Willey Santa Claus, he has the beard and the happy, sparkly blue eyes and everything. Every time I go with my friend to the gym, we happen to be there at the same time as this man, and he is the sweetest man!
Well, Smalls and her friend are very curious about him, and they peek around the corner at him walking on the treadmill and giggle and get way way excited. He happened to notice one day, so he came up to the girls and asked if they had been good this year, and the girls were beside themselves! They told him they had been good, and he told the girls to come see him at RC Willey. Smalls couldn't help herself, she had to ask him how he gets here everyday to work out when he lives all the way up at the North Pole. He just told her that this was his favorite gym so it was worth the trip. She was so happy.
Well, at our ward party, we had a really cute Santa. But Smalls was not convinced. She stared at him, and stared at him, and she was very concerned because he is not the real Santa.
She finally told him what she wanted, and later told me that she knew he was a helper and he would tell the real Santa all about it, but she would feel better if we saw the real one at RC Willey.
The rest of the night was spent visiting and having fun and eating.
But man, what a day! I am happy to report we slid all the way home safely, and stayed home!
The cold weather just kills me!
