October Nonsense

I love love love October.  Everyone does, and people who say they don't are lying.
My Smalls is on board with all the Halloween creeping out of every corner.
We (at this point) had the whole house decorated-except the garbage can.  We completely forgot to give it toilet paper fangs, but Smalls took care of that for us, she is so thoughtful.
She got a monster box in preschool from Miss Janet.  It had all sorts of costume stuff, stickers, coloring books, ugly teeth, and, of course, candy!  Miss Janet is the best and I will miss her as I have no more children to take to her after this year.  :(
Smalls is trying out all the costumes, she went from silly to terrifying in mere moments.
Trips to Target to try on all their costumes, and check out the decor.
I secretly wanted to figure out some way to incorporate one of these foam wig things into one of our costumes, but I couldn't.  Plus, they were rather expensive, and where do you store that?
WHERE?
But, Smalls is cute in this too.
 Girl's movie night!
I do not remember where the boys were this particular night, but we had a good time together.
I love these girls.
As the weather started getting colder, Smalls took care to make sure her daddy stayed warm and had a puppy to snuggle.
And, yes, we participated in "The Secret Service"
Our Stake volunteered to do several service projects in the community, and most companies, and schools took us up on the offer.
We had to meet at the stake center where we could get our secret service sunglasses (which the kids thought were amaze balls) and our assignment.  We were assigned raking the middle school.
We had so much fun!  My kiddos mumbled and grumbled all the way to the school, but once we got started and members of our stake were showing up, we had a great time and got a lot done!
Here's Smalls with the broom, she looks like she's dancing.
And there's my Kermit rocking the raking!
Look at those kids!  They are hard working sweet hearts!

And this is a drawing of a zombie.
Smalls really got into Halloween artwork this year, and it doesn't help that I was playing zombies with my sister over the xbox, and this may or may not resemble the little map thing for Alcatraz....
I would be lying if I said I wasn't a little bit bursting with pride...just a little though.
Aaaaaaahhhhh, October.
