What the what?!?

How is it when I say, "London, please go get your shoes on." She hears, "London, please spill all the marshmallows in the pantry."???
I do not understand...

Bedtime Battle and 3 Months Old!

This was too funny not to share.
Kermit has a terrible habit of getting out of bed like 13 times a night. The other night was no different. I was sitting upstairs feeding Smalls when he came up to "give me a hug" (they always think if it's something sweet they can just get away with it-too bad I'm no sweety ha ha ha). I told him, "Ethan, if you do this tomorrow night, you will have to go to bed 1/2 hour earlier the next night."
This was devestating to poor Kermit, but it didn't stop him from getting out of bed the next night, even after I reminded him. He still came upstairs to tell me about a toy he wanted, so I patiently let him tell me all about it, and then said to him, "You know what this means?"
He answered, "It means you're going to get me this toy?"
"Nope, this means you have to go to bed 1/2 hour early tomorrow night."
"NOOOOOOO MOOOOOOOOM! THAT'S NOT FAIR! etc. etc."
He carried on like that all the way back to his bedroom.Later on during the night when I went in to check on him, this was on his door.
I laughed so hard, I love that that's what he came up with to get me back. So I jumped on his bed and kissed him all over his freckle-y little face until he woke up and sleepily informed me that he was still mad at me, but that he loves me.
Putting him to bed early turned out to be one of the greatest punishments ever, and it has stopped him from getting out of bed at night-I highly recommend this as a cure if your child has the same problem. It probably won't work with younger kids though, as they have no idea what time is.On another note, here's a cute little pic of Tink and Smalls together, they are fresh out of bed in the early morn, and still so stinking cute! And look who is 3 months old!!! I swear we just got her and now she's a whole big fat 3 months old!
Aubrey is such a doll, she's a sweet little baby, she sleeps anywhere from 8 to 10 hours at night, she was sweet enough to switch right to bottles when nursing stopped working-I swear, my boobs are broken. And as of late, she's started talking with us and singing, and making that little monkey noise where they just go "ooo ooo ooo" usually when she's looking at her mobile or Tink or Kermy.

She loves her swing (as do I), she's totally friendly, she doesn't mind getting passed around to all sorts of people, she sucks on her fingers like it ain't funk-she's my first baby to prefer fingers over a binky. She's just a kicked back baby and we love her.

I think she's going to grow out of these little nighties soon, and that makes me sad cuz these are my fav!!!

A day at the Zoo

My friend Tricia and I decided we needed to get out and take our girlies to the zoo. Finally the weather is starting to be nice, so we decided this was a good idea. This is London and Lydia (Tink and Sproink) in their safari wagon. Do you love the sunnies?
Here are the girls on a dinosaur-but he's just a baby dinosaur. I'm so glad I have Tink around to fill me in on the animals.Just a shot of these hot flamingo sunglasses. We could not leave the zoo without them, who could? Here's Tink with the biggest tiger in the world (she told me so).And Smalls with the cuddliest tiger in the world.
We were super excited to see the giraffes. See, Boise zoo isn't all that animal-y, and we just got these giraffes in 08. This was our first time seeing them. Tink was amazed at them, she kept asking me what noise a giraffe makes, I have no idea, so I told her they were as noisy as pumpkins-oddly enough, this seemed to satisfy her.I heart this picture. We survived, we made it through all the tunnels and monkey cages and bears, and leopards, over the bridges, past the water, straight through 2 meltdowns-they were hilarious. Sproink has begun making a wookie noise when she's ticked and it was cracking me up. It turned out to be a really good day, thanks Crist!

Can't Sleep

I hate it when this happens...on the one hand, it's really nice because the house is quiet and I have a moment to myself.
Can't quit thinking about Mom and Dad. I want them here to see my babies, I want them here so I can tell them how much I would miss them if they were gone, and to apologize for the many bratty, stupid things I did growing up. This is what keeps me up at night. I hope I don't have to leave my kids until they turn 50.
Now, we've recently heard that Cris's cute Aunt Jan is having more complications in the cancer department than we ever would have wanted for her. I hate cancer. What's the point of it anyway? It never did anybody any good.
I'm also thinking about maxi dresses-isn't that the stupidest name? It sounds like feminine products that you wear-the thing is, they're really cool dresses. Maybe I just think so because they cover you completely-I mean, the tops are usually kind of all sexy and stuff, but nothing a cardigan can't fix. Anyway, I saw a really cute one online the other day, and since its keeping me up at night, I should probably go ahead and order it.
Also, I hope London's okay. We've switched the kids' rooms, and tonight she's had to sleep in an unfinished room that's only partly painted while all of her buddies sleep in the garage. Tomorrow night will be better for her, all her things will be in there, and it will look adorable. See, you'd think I'd be exhausted, I've been painting all day-but nooooo, here I am blogging all my random thoughts.
I really hope I can fit running into my schedule, or some kind of fitness, I look like a deflated balloon, I've got to do something about that.
I also need to get to the post office to mail my friend Lynette's present. I swear, her baby will be in college before I get that sucker out to her.
I think I have adult ADD.

Easter Egg hunts & Nana's House!

Warning: Many many pictures!
My sweet friend Jil makes fun of me for putting so many pictures on my posts, but the thing is, they're all so funny, I can never choose just a few, so I end up with tons. Sorry Jil, but really, I know you secretly love it-as mommies, we're all sure everyone just loves looking at pictures of our adorable kids right?
So we start with Tink and Rambo. Rambo is pretty sure Tink needs the entire city of Bikini Bottom in Lego form. In this picture, they are assembling the Krusty Krab. Here's the finished product, and the proud builders. Let me assure you, Tink was of absolutely no help whatsoever, and she is proud of that!
Here we are preparing for our first Easter egg hunt with a nutritious lunch from the Burger Stop (it just says "healthy" in the title right?)
I just love the look on Tink's face.

Smalls in her car seat, she didn't get to have a burger, but she looks like she's okay with that.
(Isn't she so cute?)
Tink meeting the Easter Bunny. This poor bunny didn't have a chance, Tink pretty much attacked him when she saw him. What 3 year old wouldn't love a life-size stuffed animal?
Here she is on the hunt! Too cute, and Rambo was the one shootin' all the pictures. Not bad huh.
Tink and her haul-not too shabby. Love the little wink.
Kermit and his haul. He was haulin', he got tons of eggs, and he was so quick that most of his pictures turned out blurry-fast huh.
Smalls and I waited inside, she needed a bottle anyway. Love my Moby wrap, this thing is so handy, we use it all the time in Primary!
Okay, how funny is this? Tink's going through all her eggs, and check out her little plumber bum! I love this girl.I had to go get Smalls more of these little baby legs! I'm seriously loving these things, how cute does she look???!!! Don't answer that, I already think so too.

Aunt Sassy and Smalls. Doesn't she look too good with a baby? She's really good at it too, she should definitely have babies...

Me and my Rambo in front of the Perriene Bridge. This is the view from his parent's backyard, cool huh.

And another Easter egg hunt at Nana's! It took Tink forever to find this egg-yeah, she's a sharp one, you've got to get up pretty early in the morning to fool her.Kermit and Tink...Kermit's getting too good at this stuff.
All 3 of my favorite little people.
Sweet little Aubrey. Why do babies have such sparkley eyes?
Here's what happens when I put her on the floor. Everyone descends upon her.
She's a very loved baby-and look at that smile! She's smiling so much now! I looooove it.

Tink and Nana playing the iPhone while we wait for lunch. Love the iPhone, they are sooo entertaining to my children.

Aunt Sassy and Uncle Havel (I haven't thought of the perfect nickname for him yet).
Aren't they such a cute couple?

Thanks for another fun weekend Nana and Grandpa! And we loved seeing you, Dani and Havel!
Love you guys!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BACHAN!

Today is Bachan's birthday!
(Bachan is the Japanese word for Grandma, and our's served her mission in Japan, so it's only fitting...)
We want you to know we love you and hope you have a wonderful day today. I know it's hard because we also remember Dad passed a year ago yesterday, but we want you to have a happy day! This is Bachan and Smalls kickin' it on my couch. We were watching all the little ones play the Wii, there was a lot of action going on around these 2, yet they look like they are the only 2 people in the world. The eye of the hurricane I guess you could say. Nothin' but snuggle action going on there!
Love you Grammy/Bachan/Bon bon!
