Bedtime Battle and 3 Months Old!

This was too funny not to share.
Kermit has a terrible habit of getting out of bed like 13 times a night. The other night was no different. I was sitting upstairs feeding Smalls when he came up to "give me a hug" (they always think if it's something sweet they can just get away with it-too bad I'm no sweety ha ha ha). I told him, "Ethan, if you do this tomorrow night, you will have to go to bed 1/2 hour earlier the next night."
This was devestating to poor Kermit, but it didn't stop him from getting out of bed the next night, even after I reminded him. He still came upstairs to tell me about a toy he wanted, so I patiently let him tell me all about it, and then said to him, "You know what this means?"
He answered, "It means you're going to get me this toy?"
"Nope, this means you have to go to bed 1/2 hour early tomorrow night."
"NOOOOOOO MOOOOOOOOM! THAT'S NOT FAIR! etc. etc."
He carried on like that all the way back to his bedroom.Later on during the night when I went in to check on him, this was on his door.
I laughed so hard, I love that that's what he came up with to get me back. So I jumped on his bed and kissed him all over his freckle-y little face until he woke up and sleepily informed me that he was still mad at me, but that he loves me.
Putting him to bed early turned out to be one of the greatest punishments ever, and it has stopped him from getting out of bed at night-I highly recommend this as a cure if your child has the same problem. It probably won't work with younger kids though, as they have no idea what time is.On another note, here's a cute little pic of Tink and Smalls together, they are fresh out of bed in the early morn, and still so stinking cute! And look who is 3 months old!!! I swear we just got her and now she's a whole big fat 3 months old!
Aubrey is such a doll, she's a sweet little baby, she sleeps anywhere from 8 to 10 hours at night, she was sweet enough to switch right to bottles when nursing stopped working-I swear, my boobs are broken. And as of late, she's started talking with us and singing, and making that little monkey noise where they just go "ooo ooo ooo" usually when she's looking at her mobile or Tink or Kermy.

She loves her swing (as do I), she's totally friendly, she doesn't mind getting passed around to all sorts of people, she sucks on her fingers like it ain't funk-she's my first baby to prefer fingers over a binky. She's just a kicked back baby and we love her.

I think she's going to grow out of these little nighties soon, and that makes me sad cuz these are my fav!!!

Such darling photos. And I agree, I LOVE the little nighties. I have the sweetest picture of Gilmore Girl, standing in her crib in one of those so don't give them up yet.

And the sign on the door? Priceless. Be sure and save it along with the story.

I so heart Ethan! Isn't he adorable and might I add - very stinking smart!
Where is the time going? Sweet baby is 3 months old. I have got to meet her! She is so beautiful and I love how you wrote all the things that she is doing and loving right now.
Love the snuggle pic of your girls! Adorable.

That last photo of Aubrey in her nightie with her finger in her mouth is my favorite picture you have ever taken of her. It is just too cute!! I love to hear all of her little baby sounds when I call. She is such a sweet baby.

That note that Ethan put on the door is just too funny. Actually I was impressed that he knew that a circle with a diagonal line across it means NO. I am very proud that he is so smart, and Lynne is right, you just have to keep the sign and then put it and the story in his scrapbook. He will think is so funny when he gets older.

And London is just as beautiful as ever.

I'm glad another mommy's boobies are broken when it comes to nursing too. Grrrrr! I had to jump that train after four months because I just couldn't make enough milk and Lily couldn't gain enough weight.
I hope you saved E-Man's sign. He will think that is so funny one day.
