What a great time of year to do service!!!
Tink is in activity days, and on this particular day, these sweet girls went to some of our widow's homes and raked their leaves for them.
I took these pictures as I was going to pick up Tink, and as I rounded the corner, I saw a whole fleet of silly, sweet, giggling girls walking down the road in their colorful hats and coats with their rakes.
It is one of my favorite sights I have ever seen, it made me so happy!
They were just finishing up their cocoa and cookies from Sister Hibbard and were heading back to be picked up.
I am so glad I came a little early. Too too too cute!
She just melts my heart! She was so excited and had so much fun, and she was happy to report that they made the grandma very happy.
The next day, I ran into Sister Hibbard at the store and she couldn't say enough about how sweet it was to have all those silly girls raking up and playing in her leaves.
It's these little experiences I hope my kids will remember. It doesn't take a lot to make a person feel happy and loved.
