The annual City of Meridian Christmas parade!
This year the parade was held on the most coldest day in the whole history of Idaho! Just ask my kids!
(it really was freezing -ahem, FREEZING)
I think, this particular night it got down to like -7, so it was pretty miserable.
This is when moms absolutely have to document stuff.
Kermit was not not not happy, and he let me know!
Tink tried very hard to have a good attitude, and Smalls was simply thrilled because she loves parades no matter what!
I loved this moment in time. Look at Kermit!
The greatest thing was we called this sandwich over to get a picture because I knew just how grumbly my Kermit was, and I kept calling it a taco. The Subway woman who was walking the sandwich around kindly corrected me. She actually seemed really annoyed with me which made me giggle all the more.
Look how happy Smalls is!
She has the reddest little nose! And the brightest happiest smile! I love it!!!
She got to see Santa and puppies and people gave her candy.
A good night all around.
Kermit is miserable.
He does not care about Santa, or puppies, or candy. You might suspect we have a Grinch on our hands, but no, he is just a little like his mom and hates cold.
I have learned to grin and bear it...he will someday too.
And my Tink.
See how her lips are turning blue?
This is when I decided that 40 minutes in -7 weather is enough, and it was time to go home and make hot cider.
She had such a good attitude though, but I think she is closing her eyes because they are frozen.
The best part about freezing at a parade is coming home and snuggling up with a silly Christmas movie and yummy cider. We turned on the fire and had a lovely evening together, and later Kermit admitted that it was kind of fun to go be frozen and then come home and thaw out.
I knew he'd come around.
Yay for Christmas parades!!!
I hope next year they will have it in September!
