Happy Birthday to Smalls!

T'was the night before Smalls' birthday...
I love to decorate the house for the kids the night before their birthdays!  And Smalls decor turned out so dang cute!  I am keeping those little banners on the mantle up until the weather gets nice because they make me that happy, and winter makes me that miserable.
Yay for birthdays and banners in the winter!
When she woke up, she walked into the living room and gasped.  Then she started jumping up and down-she stopped abruptly and stood up straight and said, "Mom...I think I'm taller!"
She was positively towering over the ottoman.
Nana, Grandpa, Dani, Liberty, and Moroni came up to see us!
Smalls couldn't have been more excited to see them!  She absolutely loves Liberty!  And the rest...but, come on, how do you compete with Liberty?
We went to Red Robin for lunch, where Smalls shoved herself between her two very favorite men on the planet.  She is seriously such a daddy's girl, and when she finally figured out that Grandpa is Daddy's Dad, she was beside herself because she loves daddies that much.
They sang to her and brought her her very own ice cream.
Corn dogs and ice cream are a very good birthday lunch I think.
Then we were off to Jump Time!  We love to go there in Twin Falls, but I gotta tell you, I don't love the one here in Meridian as much.  I guess I'll have to try the Boise one sometime because I do not adore the Meridian Jump Time.  But it does not matter because it is not my birthday, it is Smalls' and she is having fun jumping into the foam blocks.
And sliding down inflatable slides.

Here she goes!
Oh man.  That still makes me giggly watching her in a blur fall into the blocks.
There was some squealing involved in this maneuver as well.
And back up....
And down.
There are play houses at this Jump Time.
Why?
We are here to jump people!
And a train.
You can't jump on that either.
And, back home, we decided she could open a few presents in front of Nana and Grandpa.  She happily obliged.
Liberty and Moroni were only too glad to help.
She got a scooter!
Here is her cake for her birthday!
We had to make one for her party too, but since that is on Saturday, and everyone needs a cake to blow out candles on their birthday, this is what we came up with.
Doesn't it look happy?
Smalls thought so too, and almost didn't let us eat him.  Then, they all ate the face and that was that.
Later that night, after Nana and Grandpa left, Grandpa Dan showed up to have some cake with us, and give Smalls a present.
We love Grandpa Dan, Grandma Diane wasn't feeling well so she stayed home.  We missed her.
And now, onto the last of the presents!
Smalls recently discovered a new toy.  Kawaii Crush.
If it's small, and fussy with about 835,000 little pieces in every set, Smalls wants it.
That's what Kawaii Crush is.
About a month ago, we saw a Kawaii Crush mall play set and she wanted it for her birthday-she begged for it for her birthday.
I went to the store a little later in the week and bought it for her birthday and hid it in the closet in our garage.  Pretty sneaky huh.
Not sneaky enough.
She was looking for me one day (I was out front talking to a friend) when she couldn't find me in the house, she decided to check there.  She has never looked in our garage closet for me.
Never!
Well, she saw her present.  It was really sad because I wanted to see her face when she opened it, and I wanted to see how excited she would be.
Oh well.
As a "punishment", we made her wait all ..... day.........long before she could open it.
I happened to know that the Edwards bought her Kawaii Crush stuff too, so it was only fitting that she wait until they were here to open the one from us too.
Moms can be evil like that.
She was very polite to open the card first.  She even let me read it to  her before she finished opening her present.
Kawaii Crush car and the Sleepover.
I know.  What?  And look at all the pieces!  There are pieces for days!!!
Thank Heavens for sandwich baggies!
And the final present of the day (with some assistance from the lovely Kermit)
Her Kawaii Crush mall!!!
Seriously, who makes all these little pieces!?
Smalls likes it because everything is smiling, even the french fries that go to the food court.
We had cake and sang "Happy Birthday" and then Smalls spent the rest of the night in her room setting up all these fussy little toys.
She was happy, so I was too.
My baby is 5.
