A little of this, and little of that!

This was just too cute. Tink decided that Rambo should not go to work this particular night, so she was barricading the doors. Doesn't she look fiercely intimidating? She successfully closed the door to the laundry room, and then thought she had him.But then, somehow, Rambo (being as clever as he is) found a way into the laundry room and to the door to the garage. But Tink, always on the defense, got to the door before Rambo-how does she do it folks? It took some hugging and convincing before Tink would allow Rambo to make his exit. Okay, onto other things. Kermit looked particularly cool this morning, so I thought I'd take a picture of him. He's got his cool camo/soldier pants on which he's quite proud of, and he just looked really cool! So, here's cool Kermit. We got his 1st grade pictures already and they are soooo cute! That's to come later.
Tink has been so nice about letting me experiment with her hair, we got a little more wild and crazy today, and even she was proud of it, so she wanted me to take her picture. Plus, she was stoked that she was wearing all her Halloween garb. This is an aerial view of Tink's hair, see what I mean? She's been so patient with me, what a sweetheart. Just imagine, in a few months, I'll have 2 little girls, that's 2 little heads of hair for me to play with! I'm so excited!
This was just too funny of a scene. I don't know who out there has webkinz pets, but we do. We have Thomas, the beagle (who mom is not allergic to) and Skadoosh, the frog. Tink owns the frog, Kermit owns the dog. Anyway, there's lots of cool games to play on their website and Tink and Kermy really get into them. I thought it just looked too cute, so I had to get a picture!
And there again, my little monkeys! Check out those pumpkins by their feet, green machines!
In other news, we get to go to Disneyland this next week! We leave on our plane tomorrow (well, it's not OUR plane, but you know what I mean). I don't know what Tink is more excited about-the actual Disneyland, or the airplane ride. We're super excited to get to go, plus, that means my next post will be much more entertaining! Until then, have a super week!

So, Lately...

We've been decorating for Halloween. This is my all time favorite holiday, I have always loved this time of year. This is a representation of Cris and I when we're dead. I think it's sweet, look at how we're holding bon-ey hands. I'm the one on the right, you can tell cuz my legs are crossed
all lady-like.

This is our cute new tablecloth from Grammy! We love it, it's perfectly spooky, and sparkley, all the things my kids and I love. Thank you Grammy, it's a perfect addition! Also, look out my windows, I don't know if you can see this, but it was actually snowing a little bit outside! Tink pratically had a heart attack, she has been so excited for snow.
This guy is one of my fav's, Nana and Pakkah got him for me a few years ago, and I love how creepy he is.
More of my favorites. I have always loved a good haunted house scene, and although this one is quite cute, it suits me (cuz I'm so cute-that's what I tell myself anyway). The pumpkin man on the left is Chester, he's lifting his head off his body, and his little base says, "I'm freakin out". This is a perfect Halloween decoration for any mother out there. Rambo got him for me one year when things were particularly crazy, and it just fit the year... I have to admit, I have a really hard time putting him away at the end of the season.
I had more pictures I wanted to post, but for some reason the blog gods are not on my side at the moment. I'll try again later, so for now, enjoy!

The Verdict

Okay, so the jury's been out for a while on this baby. I was so stinking sick when I first got pregnant that I thought there was no way this could be a boy! Then Kermit and Tink kept calling it a baby boy, and talking about a baby brother, so I thought, "What if they're right? What if it is a boy? Man, even boys make me sick (when I'm pregnant)." So, when we went in to have our ultrasound I was pretty sure it was a boy, and then we started looking around, and what do you know? It's a girl! She wasn't shy about what she is either. I decided to post a 4D picture of her face. I don't have a scanner, so it's a picture of a picture, but I think you can see it pretty good, isn't she beautiful!?! I couldn't believe they could get such a good picture of something/someone inside you! But there she is. Doesn't she have the cutest lips? And her nose-oh, I could go on all day! I cannot wait to see her in the real life, and just hug her and kiss her. As for a name....the jury is still out on that one, we have nooo idea. Rambo suggested Geneva, and I was like, "would you give up on the European capitols already?" What is with him? Anyway, we're really excited to have this little muffin! In other news, I can make hats! Who knew? I made a little hat for Tink, and she is a child who will actually wear hats, so it all works out. I told Kermit I'd make one for him too, but he doesn't want a big old flower on his (he told me so). But if I could work out something like Optimus Prime, or a storm trooper, he's all for that.
I love you all, and yipee! Another little girl! How lucky can I be? Finally, some good news in a year that's been pretty difficult, HOORAY FOR BABIES!!!

Losing teeth, painting nails, and Halloween costumes

We start our post with Tink's first manicure. I painted my nails Saturday night, and Tink decided she needed pretty nails too. It was actually a lot easier than I thought it would be, I just used a quick-dry nail polish, so she was surprisingly patient with it.

Here is an ensemble only Tink could create. She has my slipper socks on, and then she decided she needed "muffins" on her hands, so she coordinated her socks with mine, and voila! She is the height of style!
Kermit lost another tooth! This boy will be my very own livng jack-o-lantern this year. He lost his tooth the other night, and the stupid tooth fairy forgot to come to our house, what a jerk! She pulled it together though and made it the next night. He got a shiney gold dollar coin thing. Oh, that tooth fairy!
Another lovely smile from my incredibly handsome boy!
Here is Tink's Halloween costume...I'm not sure exactly what it is, but she loooooves it! She just calls herself the "spider princess" so I'm sticking with that. Nana and Aunt Sassy found this in Vegas (I think she's too young to be wearing costumes from Vegas, but that's just me). Tink has fallen in love with it, and she does look quite lovely in it.
I love the hair thing-not sure what that is either, but Tink calls it her crown, so we're just gonna go with it, she knows what she's talking about right?Time for some funny faces! This is not a hard thing for my kids to take time and make silly faces.Kermit's is a little more of a "tough guy" face, but he thought it was pretty hilarious.Tink stayed in "spider princess" form for the rest of the evening until dinner time, because stroganoff just doesn't look good down the front of any gown, even a spider web gown.Needless to say, Tink is excited for Halloween and trick-or-treating, and spookies at the stores and all that. Kermit has decided he would like to be a Storm Trooper, so we'll get right on that!

Oh, kids...

We begin our post with Tink at the toy store. First of all, I love how she just piles tons of stuff in her arms and carts it around the store like we're going to buy it. I love the video, we found a little keyboard that played what I deem to be some of the finest music ever written. Tink loved it too, she stood there dancing to it forever, she's quite a dancer if I may say so.

Yep, I think she's got like 3 purses, a couple of puppets, and at one point she had some trains.
BABYSITTING
We got to watch our good friends little girl last night, I believe I shall call her Sproink, she's so cute with that helmet and the little piggy tails, she looks like a darling little martian. I've decided all mobile babies should have a helmet. This little Sproink was into everything, and every time she fell down and hit her head, not a peep was heard. Helmet = happy baby.
Tink got out every baby toy we have for Sproink. And then she decided it was a good idea to "cook" and be a super hero. She's got her apron and her cape on to do some extremely dangerous cullinary dishes. Sproink is her anxious assistant.
Just a good view of my little Iron Chef and her amazing talent for style. Pretty soon Kermit was in on the act, he loves babies (good for our little one in the oven). He did everything in his capacity to protect and entertain Sproink. He picked up toys that were too little for her, he danced and sang for her, and patiently showed her how a lot of the toys worked. Tink simply stood among them doing her own thing-cooking, saving the world, that sort of thing.
All in all, it was a good night-BUSY, but really good. I hope my crazy monkeys are as good to our baby as they are to Sproink.

Notalot

We begin our post with Tink begging me for Whoppers. She seriously got down on her knees and did this little "hands folded" trick, she kills me.How could I say no? Plus, there weren't that many left, so I just let her go nuts. Look at her, she's in some sort of daze...I guess I get that way too with Whoppers-let's face it, who doesn't?We get to take Tink everywhere while Kermit is at school. We decided to go to this little country store with her where she found these spools (at least I think that's what they are)-for Tink, however, these are "strongy strongs". She promptly began weight lifting with them right there in the store. I'm a little shy about my strength, I probably wouldn't have done it right there, I would have waited until no one was looking.Tink and Heath enjoying an ice cream cone. Jil and I went to the mall and I'd like to say we had fun, I just think it could have been funner if the babies understood just how important shopping is. Oh well, thanks Jil, our trip will be different...maybe we should send the daddies to the mall with the kids while we're gone!Lately, we can't have a meal without some sort of "friends" being at the table with us. Tonight, our dinner guests happened to be Monkey, Dragon, and Giraffe. Tink isn't all the creative with naming just yet-Unless, you count her froggy, her name is Skadoosh, I thought that was pretty cute, but these poor suckers didn't get the creative names. Our FHE consisted of a lesson catered to Tink and then cookie baking. I decided to let each of the kids crack an egg into the bowl (don't I look confident?)Now it's Tink's turn.I said "INTO the bowl Tink" I've got to hand it to her for trying. The egg shells went right into the bowl, the egg was not so lucky. After I cracked a new egg into the bowl, Tink decides to inspect my work.I think she approves. Finally, the cookie dough is ready, and there are cookie blobs in the oven, and my family is excited about that.
Kermit could not figure out how a cookie becomes flat so, he watched the entire process in the oven. Tink was not so patient, but humored Kermit for a minute. I think over all, they were both impressed with how well our cookies turned out, I was. Well, I can hear Tink calling me, so I will say goodbye for now. I'm sure she needs something very important like pink milk or stitches.

Holy Bow-ly!

Okay, so I've been a little bow-making crazy lately-but it's been really fun! I had to get a picture of some of my latest work. Tink got lots of cute new shirts, so of course I had to make bows to match, any self-respecting 3-year old will not allow herself out of the house without matching bows right? (Can you say "mom is o.c.d.?) This particular bow was too fun, I got a little carried away with it, it sort of looks like a little hat, but oh well, Tink can pull it off.
She's killin' me.

On another note. I am super homesick for my Utah peeps lately. Reading all of your blogs makes me miss you so much that sometimes I get a stomach ache-which has nothing to do with pregnancy. I love seeing you and hearing about your lives, but it makes me miss you to pieces and I just thought I would let you know that. I think of you tons, try to call every once in a while, but I know I would gab and gab, and my life just doesn't allow for big fat gabby convos right now-as I'm sure yours don't either.
Anyway, just wanted to tell you all how much I miss you and love you!
