All we do is run!

I love being a mom.
I love being a wife.
I love being on the Relief Society boards (yep, boards).
And I even love Scouts.
But I can't do it all.
I have an amazing Bishop, and after talking with him for quite sometime, on Sunday, we decided something had to go.  We can't take out being a mom, or a wife, and I have literally never been in Relief Society as a calling so we decided to eliminate Scouts.  I have to tell you, I have never been so relieved in my life!  And I have spent years in Primary and Young Women's and those two callings take a toll on you, especially when your husband works nights and you have to be a single mom most of the time.  And even when I was released from those callings I never felt as relieved as I feel having been released from Scouts.
It feels really good to only have 2 callings and not 3, but I'm sure they'll find something for me to do, and I have already been approached about being the Primary Chorister again....I have to say, I don't mind, but I do often times forget about my Visiting Teaching Coordinating.  I think I just don't have the brains to do this all anymore!  And helping plan the Tuesday night meetings is fun, but it can also be just a lot of busy work.  It's the kind of busy work I enjoy, but it does just what it says, keeps me busy!
My friend Angie and I are planning the Relief Society Birthday Party, and I really think it will be fun, but it falls right after doing the Blue and Gold Banquet and I am still a little burnt out!  People just have unrealistic expectations sometimes and I'm kind of sick of hearing about it!
You get free food, now sit down and appreciate it!
But you can't say that because we are trying to be like Jesus, and I don't think he would say that....but maybeeee-no, He wouldn't say that.
So we might as well have some fun while we plan things, and that is when we found ourselves at Zurcher's.  I love this store and if money were no object, I would stock up on all sorts of needless party supplies!
As we were shopping and planning, we noticed that Sammi and Aubrey had gone missing, we could hear their little giggles, but we couldn't see them, so we went looking and wouldn't you know it?  They are in the costume aisle.  They are vikings with devil pitchforks...sounds like my kind of party.
Now, I love Sammi, but she is nowhere near as fierce a viking as my Aubrey.
Look at her just waving and smiling, while Aubs does all the dirty work.
Good cop, bad cop.
Our Relief Society party will not be vikings (this year).
We are doing a princess theme.  It's a bit overdone in my opinion, but I think we have some cute ideas, and we have found some really clever things, man, there are some funny dang Mormons out there, and creative too!
I love this poster we came across!  Our 1st counselor is going to have it blown up and printed, I think it's so funny.
We are also going to play a game called Prophet or Princess, where you read quotes from either a conference talk, or a Disney movie.  They are not that easy to figure out, so I think it will be fun, then we will make necklaces, and have cupcakes and ice cream, and the Young Women are going to sing a song for us.
I'm getting excited to see how it all turns out.
Back to other rugamorolls.
Aubrey is in dance and she is loving it!
They are doing their dance to "How do you know?" from Enchanted, and she is so in love with that song, she cannot wait!  And I love that she is so excited.  I don't want to force my kids to do stuff they don't want to do, but I also don't want them to just sit on the sidelines and do nothing, so I am so happy that she is loving dance and it's not a fight to get her there.
She goes to a studio that is owned by my friend and she has recently asked me to take some of her classes and start teaching again!  I am really excited to get to do this, and it means that Aubrey's lessons are free.  I have asked London if she wants to do it too, but she is more interested in art lessons and gymnastics.  There just happens to be a woman in our ward who is the new Activity Days person who teaches art!  I am so excited to get London started!  And Ethan has a couple cute friends whose mom is a gymnastics teacher so I'm going to see what her fees are.
Because I need more stuff going on in my life.

Anyway, here is my Aubrey all ready to go to dance.
Her skirt has stars all over it and looks like a galaxy, so she calls it her space skirt, and she didn't take it off the rest of the day.
Here they are stretching.  Aubrey is super stretchy, just look.
On this particular day, they started learning their tap routine to "Splish Splash" and when they were done, she was singing that song all day telling me how much she loves that bathtub song.
Later on this day, we had to go pick up some butterscotch beer for a good friend and Harry Potter fan.  She is one of the only other people on the planet that I knew would appreciate some butterscotch beer, and be able to compare it to the stuff they serve at Universal!
It's not bad, but it doesn't have that yummy foamy ice cream stuff on top.  That stuff is amazing.
Amazing.
These will suffice, but they will never be the same....
 And and and
I'm learning to knit!  I have a cute friend who owns an on-line shop called 2 crafty mamas, well 1 crafty mama quit so she's on her own and she is talented!  She opened her shop for 20 minutes and had 90 orders!  So she had to shut it down so she could just fill her orders!
Aubrey and I went over to play, and she started teaching me how to knit, and we decided I probably need to come back over to play with her adorable baby, and Aubrey can play with Maya so she can get some work done!
Look how cute these girls are!!!
Her baby is seriously gorgeous, she looks like a doll!
And here is my project so far!
This yarn makes me happy, and my girls helped me choose it.  We are sort of color loving gals.  I am making a cowl for London, you know, now that the weather is getting all awesome and we don't need cowls anymore.
On and on and on and....I am off to my last Pack Meeting!
No, wait, I told them I would help with Pinewood Derby next month...
Off to my second to last Pack Meeting!

good for you for taking care of yourself! 3 callings is a lot! Yikes seriously - you are a faithful servant of the lord!
I think your birthday party sounds like so much fun and what a cute fun idea. I would love to be in your ward! My ward doesn't really do fun things - lame o

Look how cute Aubrey is! Seriously I love her cute little face. It reminds me of your cute little face - she is like your twin!

I love it that Aubrey wants to be in dance too. Madelyn hates it. I am a mean mom that makes her go. But when class is over she loves it. It is just getting there. ugh!
London will love taking art.

You will be an amazing dance teacher. You love that and you are so amazing at it too! That will be so fun.
Way to pimp everything to get things for free - I like the way you work it - yo diggity!

Where did you get that butter beer at?

Of course you know how to knit you know how to do everything. I still can't get a damn circle crocheted! I love cowl's I think they are so stinking cute!

Love your guts and you. You are beautiful. Reading your blog makes me so happy!
