School Carnival

So, last week was the school carnival, and we had a lot to do for it. We missed last year's, so I wanted to try to make up for it. My friend Jil convinced me last year that the carnival is a big deal in a kid's life, so I gotta do it!
We made a cake, and I gotta tell you, I had a dang good time making my cake, I got all kinds of new decorating toys and frosted up this little gem. I'm not gonna lie, when I saw the lady who won my cake walking down the hall at the school, I wanted to just take it and run. And let's face it, that woulda been kind of funny, and good for me, cuz then I have my cake back and everyone's happy...okay, so just I'm happy.
I didn't take her/my cake away-for the record.
Then, we decorated pop bottles for a pop walk, not unlike the cake walk.
This one is London's.
And this one is Ethan's.
Tink and I had a dang good time doing all the games and getting lots of treats and prizes. She did the Tootsie Roll, which cracked me up, she got lots of candy from that. She did bumper cars and musical chairs, and boxetball, and bean bag toss, and the lollipop tree and pretty much every stinking game they had to offer. I didn't take the camera with me so I missed all that great stuff, what a bummer of a mom huh.
As you can see, we did go get a face painting.
She is probably the cutest puppy anyone ever did see. One guy said to her, "What a cute kitty you are!"
She looked at the guy like he was some kind of idiot, and just said, "Yeah, only I'm actually a puppy."
It was a fun night. I didn't get any pictures at all of Kermit, he went off with his friends, and then got concerned that he couldn't find me, so he ran home twice looking for me. I won't get into that story, except for that kid owes me five bucks!

Cute puppy indeed. And great job on the cake. Alas, cake decorating is not a talent or skill I have been able to cultivate. I'm glad you and Ethan found each other again and everyone is safe. I kinda like that kid and would be sad if he disappeared.

Ahh, memories of the school carnival - it was fun going with you last time. Your cake turned out really cute, and your cute pop bottles. Seriously I told Adam to go with your hubby in the afternoon, but my Dr. appt went late yesterday - darn people having babies right, I'm totally fine if they want to go do something for the next few weeks then you can come over and I can teach you flowers, or whatever I just want to hang out most days lately. Anyway - 5:30 ish on he's mine! :) at least until baby comes. He's just been working 6 days a week and I've barely seen him, so its been really nice to have a date.

I don't know where to start with this post...
London kills me! I love her and I love what she said to the guy! He was an idiot!
Your cake is beautiful! I can't decorate a cake if my life depended on it!
Those pop bottles are so stinking cute and so creative. Our school carnival was retarded! Yours was so flipping fun.
I want to hear more of Kermit's story. DOesn't he have to take a bus to school? Why the heck would he walk home twice? Crazy kid
You are the bestest funnest mom ever! Good for you for having so much fun!

Will you teach me how to crochet? I want to make those cute animals you made. still dreaming of them.

When you come up for the art exhibit. How long will you stay?

Did you get my text last night? Do you text?

Call me!
Love you!

But admit it, despite Ethan running a 5K between your house and the school, you had a great time and can't wait to go again next year right?

Just for the record, I would have wrestled that cake out of that lady's hands. Holy Frosting! I'm in love with that cake. Did you know that frosting is my favorite food? I have a tupperware of chocolate buttercream in my fridge right now... it only has a few spoon marks taken out of it.
