We are so lucky! We had a surprise visit from Nana and Grampa! They came to visit us last Thursday night, and we had such a good time. They've been so busy this entire year. They both lost siblings this year. It's been so sad and strange to have that happen in the same year, needless to say they've been needed in other places to comfort and help their families. Unfortunately for us. We've missed them so much, so it was really good to see them and a really nice surprise.
They took us out for dinner at the Cheesecake factory. It was so good to see them.
Friday night we went as a family to the Farmstead. It was so fun. There was so much to do there. Our sweet adopted Grandparents, Dan and Diane, bought us tickets to come here and do all the fun "fally" things.
Here are my 3 stooges at the entrance. They are having fun already!
Smalls was impressed just by the ticket booth/barn. She would have stayed and played in the hay the whole time if we'd let her. We are mean so we did not let her.
Kermit and Smalls loved the pony rides. Tink wouldn't go, she got scared. I think she thought they were going to take off with her, so she wouldn't get on one.
Smalls had a really good time and Rambo was sure to walk around next to her. Kermit didn't need anyone to walk with him. He's brave.
Next we went to the jumping pillow, I think that's what they called it (is that considered "fall fun"). Smalls had so much fun on this thing. I'm amazed she didn't break her neck. Every time she'd get bounced like this you could hear her laugh all over the place. A sure sign she was not dead (whew).
I love this picture. No, those 2 kids are not mine and I don't even know them, but if you look just to the right of them, that's Tink and Smalls having a moment. Tink was trying to help her up for the billionth time and they were both just giggling.
Plus, look at that sunset...man, a lot goin on in this picture.
Another moment.
After bouncing til we wanted to barf, we found a little hay maze. Tink was all over this thing, she did it no time flat. I love this picture because her little bum looks so cute.
Then we were off to the slides! This slide was sooo funny. It's just a bunch of PVC pipe rolling you down the slide. You really don't go very fast......at all, but the whole time down this thing, Smalls is going, "weeeeeee (deep breath in) weeeeeee" repeat.
One hour later (just kidding HA).
And back up the slide, I actually think she went up the slide a little faster. I had to get this picture because again, look at that cute little bum!!!
weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee....
After falling off the stairs that lead up to the amazingly fun slide, we decided that was enough of that, so we threw the kids in to a big box of corn.
I had to get in too, I'm not gonna lie to you, this was fun. There are so many uses for corn.
Tink was being way too sassy, so we decided to bury her, that'll teach her!
I'm only teasing, she wasn't being sassy, she actually wanted me to bury her!
After Tink broke out of the corn, we went for a ride on the cow train-yep, you heard me right-the cow train! Where again Smalls was chanting her "weeeeeeeeee" throughout the ride.
After the cow train, we had a yummy funnel cake because why wouldn't we! And then we were off the corn maze. I love this picture even though it's blurry. Smalls is just checking the specs on the rotary-we need to make sure the flashlight is working somehow right.
And then there's these guys, never let them lead you through a corn maze-not if you ever want to go home and go to bed.
We had such a good time! Thank you so much Dan and Diane! We love you so much!!!
