Summer-a-go-go

We've been sorta busy, it's been fun though! Just busy. I think we're at the park every single day, we've been checking out different parks all over Boise, we haven't gotten to them all just yet, but the summer is still young.
This is Camelback park, there's a little playground and a bunch of hiking trails all around it. We had such a good time. Tink loves parks.
Smalls had a good time too. This was hilarious, Tink was climbing all over everything, and I looked over at her just in time to see her slide down one of these babies. She got to the bottom and turned around and just looked at it all perplexed while rubbing her bottom. She walked over to me and loudly announced, "Mom, that slide will hurt your bum."
I just laughed, people probably think I'm a jerk of a mom. They are right.

Tink's cute little face. She was on her way through the "tunnel" and we couldn't resist.

Meanwhile, Rambo and Kermit went hiking, this was the view from the top of Camelback of beautiful downtown Boise.
BAKUGAN TOURNAMENT
Wow, is all I can say. Kermit and his friend Cameron had a good time doing this. But, I think the guy sitting next to Kermit had a little too good of a time. Is it just me, or does he look a little too old to be thoroughly enjoying a Japanese children's game? A VISIT WITH GRAMMY
We got to spend some time with Grammy last week. She flew up and we did some fun things together, she was so sweet to the kids, they just love her.
We also got to do some temple work for my dad. We sealed him to his parents while she was here, it was a really happy experience.Cute little Smalls. She got these new jammies while Grammy was here. They make me so happy, they just match her little personality, you couldn't buy jammas like that for a grouchy baby.
Here's Grammy and Kermit playing the piano/keyboard together. Kermit started piano lessons and he's really excited about it. It was fun to have Grammy sit and help him practice one night.Smalls has discovered her feet. I took the above picture, and then she looked up at me like this...Isn't that hilarious? She's the funniest little baby, I absolutely adore her.

Here's a little picture for Aunt Jen, she looks so cute in this outfit, we love it! I love that I can just dress her up and pose her anywhere I wanna.

Down here, I hope you will enjoy this video of Tink in her ballet class. She's the one in the back on the left, closest to the window, she's jumping around at the very start. I don't dare to go in and tape her, I'd ruin everything, so I sneakily video her through the window...enjoy!!

Our summer is crazy so far, but it's been a lot of fun! I hope everyone else is having a wonderful summer with time off with their babies!!!

Little Red Riding Hood

This is our sweet Aunt Jan with my little Tink. Jan has been battling the effects of breast cancer for the past few years.
My sister asked me to ride in the Little Red Riding Hood battle against breast cancer bike-a-thon with her this year, so I did. It was a ton of fun, but it was inspirational, and just a teeny bit hard. We did the 46 miles.
I arrived in Smithfield Friday night, and Shirt and I went out to dinner, we have never gone out to dinner, so I decided I needed to get a cool drink to mark the occasion, I got a Pink Zebra! When do I go to dinner and get a pink zebra? NEVER. Here's Shirt with my drink, cute huh?
She decided she needed a fun drink too, she got a pina colada with an extra shot of rum...I think her drink was a little funner than mine, but mine was definitely cuter-I mean, look at that!
Look how cute Shirt is too. Don't you love her hair?
We at the yummiest food ever and laughed until our ribs hurt. The day of the ride.
We look totally tough don't you think? Nobody messes with chicks in pink bandanas-nobody who knows what's good for 'em!

Here's Shirt at the first stop of the ride, isn't that jersey so cute? Her and B are like super cyclists, they're good.
My ribs were still hurting by the way.

Here's the 2 of us in Mendon, it was the first stop. I wanted to play on the playground, but noooooo Shirt was all business, so we got back on our bikes and rode and rode and rode.

Look how far we've come! We stopped up this little hill to take pictures.

Here's the nice lady who took a picture of us. Look how cute she is with her little flower in her helmet.

Here's the picture she took of us. Good job huh.
That's because I took this picture.
Good job for me I guess.

Here we are with about 20 miles to go, I was getting so super tired so I had an energizing peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Look at Shirt, just smiling away, don't you want to just smack her?
That's more like it, we are tired-but I know she is just faking it.
FAKER!!!!
Here is Shirt's $5,000 bike. It deserves it's own picture, isn't that nice? I thought so too.
And Shirt....why aren't you more tired than this?!?!
Here we go again, look how beautiful the scenery was. It was like this for the whole ride, just beautiful.

This was the last picture I took of our excursion, we are nearing the end of the 46 miles, I think we had like 8 to go-I was dying. I'm not even joking when I say that, you'll have to see the video Shirt took on her blog it's hilarious. Even the 100 mile ladies were passing me at that point (they were amazing!)
During those last couple miles my legs were killing me and my wrists were ready to break-I have a whole new respect for cyclists. It was then I thought of Jan and all she has had to deal with and all she has been through, and I found the energy to just finish that sucker.
I'm not gonna lie, I cried when I crossed the finish line, it was a great big red banner that said "VICTORY OVER CANCER"
There's a phrase, "When the body suffers the spirit strengthens" I'm completely positive I made it through the last 4 miles on the strength of my spirit. I think most people who have had to deal with cancer go through the same thing, you depend on your spirit to shove your body through certain trials. After the "thon" B and Shirt took me to lunch, it was so yummy!
Here is B eating the perfect chip, he saved it til the end it was so perfect.

Shirt with her lei. They gave us leis at the end of the race, yep, all that and we get a fake flower lei. Just kidding, I thought they were so cute, and I love how Shirt is wearing hers, it makes a statement.

Later that night when we weren't stinky and sweaty and gross. Look at me, still tired and Shirt, she just keeps going and going and going...
Extreme close-up of Shirt!
This is how she looks when she wants to make out with you. "Ew, no way!" is what I had to say!

Here's the girls at the campfire eating s'mores that night.
I got to see Steve and Jen and their babies that night too! It was so fun to see them all. What a great day. It was exhausting and silly, I laughed and cried and stunk.

Shirt! I had the best weekend, we have to do more together, I miss you. You're such a good friend, thank you for getting me out there to do this with you this year. Next year, watch out, we're gonna try 60!!!
My legs just boo'd at me.

4 months old & weekend at Nana's!

My baby girl's 4 months old!!! Dr. Kropf said she is a picture of health, and she's really tall. She's in the 95th percentile for her height. She's 26 inches long! That means she's grown more than an inch every month since she was born. We're just going to install a basketball hoop at the end of her crib-y'know, get her started.

Look at that cute little dress! Thanks to Aunt Nettie for that one! How cute is that? I love polka dots lately, they're so happy. We got to go to Nana's house for the weekend, they had their Western Days and we thought the kids might think that was fun.
Here we are at the Twin Falls Western Days parade! Good times. Kermit was extremely excited about the tank

This particular picture is in here for my sister. I know how she loves a good mariachi band, she loves the music, and the men! This one's for you Pat!

Here's Tink in my sunnies. We forgot hers that morning, so she looks like a great big adorable bug.

I know Smalls had a good time, she loves a good parade. Just look at her face....that's how good the parade was.
Tink and Grampa taking in all the sights.

This one's for Grammy, we thought you'd like to see the horses all dressed up.

After the parade, we had to go over to the city park and check out the festivities. Twin Falls knows how to put on a great part-ay.

Tink and Rambo. She got a new cowgirl hat, and she went all around the park saying "Yeehaw" and "Howdy partner".

And finally, Kermit and his hat -which we did NOT buy for him, but it was nice to see his stank face again.Guess who got a swimming pool for her birthday??? And thinks she needs all 3 floaties to go swimming in it??? You got it! Tink. She kills me.

Happy Birthday to Tink!

We got to celebrate Tink's birthday last week 2 days in a row! She is a whopping 4 years old!! I'm not ready for this yet, she starts preschool in the fall, what's a mom to do?
I love this girl, she's such a happy little person in our home. She is completely fearless, she is super funny, she is our walking party. My dad used to call her his party girl.
London has always been so happy, and bouncy and outgoing, we love her to pieces, our family would not be complete without her.

I took Tink out to Baskin Robbin's on her birthday and she got the bubble gum ice cream. I remember as a kid, my sister and I used to always get this flavor of ice cream. Just the smell of it brought back a ton of memories. Tink liked the way it turned her tongue bright pink.

Here is her majesty with all her beautiful jewelry on. Thanks Aunt Dana for that one!

On Thursday, the day before Tink's real birthday, Nana and Grampa came up and took us out to lunch. We went to Red Robbin's and they sang to Tink. She wasn't sure how she felt about that at first, but I think she decided she liked it. She definitely liked the ice cream and the cherry that was on top!
Thank you Nana and Grampa! We always have fun with you and your iphone/itouch.

Yes, little sisters always get in the way, but they're too cute not to. Here's cute little Smalls enjoying some tummy time. I love this girl!
And finally Tink in her "ballet's" as she calls them. She starts dance on the 9th of June and we're super excited! She looks so cute in this get-up. She liked it too, it took me forever to convince her that we can't wear it all the time, just when it's time for dance classes. She gets her crazy white white skin from her mommy-look at her, she's the same color as the leotard.
I love you baby! Happy Birthday!
