Peregrine School Carnival!
My kids love going to the carnival! Even Ethan likes going, because he knows that old friends will be there. All the kids who went to Sawtooth Middle school usually come back for the carnival, and they all meet up and hang out. They were even good sports and played all the silly classroom games together.
London ran off with her friends, and had a great time! So that left Aubrey and I to play together.
She wanted to start at the scooters.
She played the tootsie roll game. They wrap the kids in backwards tape, so the sticky part faces out, then they roll them on the floor covered in tootsie rolls. Whatever sticks to the kid, they get to keep!
I had to help with temporary tattoos in Mrs. Bellamy's class for a little while, and my friend Ang took Aubrey to do some more fun things.
Afterward, I had to take her to the doughnut hang.
This is my favorite by far, I love watching the kids try to do this one. I helped with this one a few years ago in Mrs. Workman's class when Ethan had her, it is always good for laughs!
We spent the rest of the night doing the book walk, Aubrey won 2 books.
Ethan and London were more interested in the pop walk and the cake walk. They both won a 2 liter bottle of pop and thought they were awesome (they are). They all got way to much candy and had a crazy good time, and Ethan was so glad to see old friends. He had his first moment of nostalgia, and spent the rest of the night reminiscing to me about his friends and wondering when he would see them again.
FIELD DAY!
Aubrey and I were only too happy to help with Field Day.
Water games, tug of war, plenty of sunshine-yes please!
She and I helped with the squirt game.
The kids partner up, one has on a blindfold and holds the squirt bottle. The other partner leads the blindfolded one around and they all squirt each other. And maybe we squirted everyone from the sidelines.
One of the first classes we had had our sweet friend Matti in it! She's the one in the purple shorts.
Tug of war was right behind us.
I was so excited when London's class had their turn to do tug of war. I knew London would totally get into it, and she did not disappoint!
Look how soaked she already is! It had only been 2 games and she was dripping!
GIRLS WIN!!!
It was so cute and so fun to watch all these kids! They took this game so serious, and us moms and even Mrs. Bellamy got in on the action. I forgot how much tug of war hurts your hands! So fun!
And the losing team always landed in a big heap of giggles, love it!
Now it was their turn to come do our game!
London and her partner Reagyn. They are such good good friends!!! I love it!
This picture just makes me laugh!
It was London's turn to wear the blindfold, and look what she did with her glasses.
I was laughing so hard, I'm glad I got the picture! She is just too funny!
I took her glasses from her after this.
Too funny! And the first sunburns of the season, whoops! I may have forgotten the sunscreen, go mother of the year!
We love Field Day at Peregrine, these teachers have so much fun with the kids, I love it.
LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!
Now, before I start here...my Ethan would not let me do a picture of him on the last day of school, but believe me, he was soooo excited! He is no longer a 6th grader, and no longer the youngest in the school! Wahooooo!
London was excited too, but a little sad. She loves her friends and she loooooved her teacher this year, so she was not as excited, but she still loves summer and I think she was ready to get summer started.
She was ready to roll!
And one last picture with Mrs. Bellamy!
She was such a great teacher and had such a great influence on London. She and I became good friends too, and I will miss her next year! So glad London had her for a teacher!
Let summer begin!
